Goodbye 2016, hello 2017.

2016 was an interesting year, to say the least. We got started on some major home projects, I started working on a few projects here and there that would become major projects down the road.  Most importantly, I found myself designing a second-and-third-grade curriculum as we pulled our oldest out of school and began homeschooling.  Photography-wise, I ended up working a lot on lighting techniques and on teaching projects.  I taught two classes through the Professional Photographers of America Super 1 Day program and spoke at several events in the area. I was very honored to receive a Fellowship with the Professional Photographers of North Carolina.  It's been a busy year, and I’m off to tackle so much more in 2017.

I’ve got several new projects and adventures going on. What are they?  Here’s a rundown:

  • I am rolling out my new Royalty Portraits this week
  • Newborn mini sessions as well as a redesigned First Year plan are now available
  • Our website is going to get a major redesign and overhaul in the coming months.
  • We are starting a project called ‘Who we are’ showcasing the diversity in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area.
  • I am going to be teaching four one day workshops for sure, and hoping to add a few more workshops and speaking to the list.
  • Not only do I have plans to blog so much more, but I am working on developing an education branch of ADP, for beginners and advanced photographers alike.

2017 is going to be a year of growth… I, for one, can’t wait!
